What kind of essential oil do dogs not like, but that spells pleasant in the house?

I have tried the ';Doggie No No'; Spray, does nothing to my dogs. One of them is prone to having accidents on rugs. I am afraid to put my nice ones down. I

Is there some sort of herb (essence) that I can mix with water and mist that dogs don't like? What kind of essential oil do dogs not like, but that spells pleasant in the house?
citrus scents rare pretty deterring, also, hot sauce mixed with vasaline may work a bit better. It really stays on the surface, and it's nasty. You could also try adding lemon oil or something to the vasaline.

OOPS!! didn't read all of your question.. lol..

Ok, for the peeing, try a steam cleaner. Use vinegar to clean up the mess first, then use the steam cleaner, as it really gets down in the carpet. What kind of essential oil do dogs not like, but that spells pleasant in the house?
I don't know about essential oil, but I offer you this advice:

Animals are very sensitive to smells. I worked in a vet clinic, and a cat became very sick because of a huge tumor and had to be put down. It was because the owner didn't know how to use essential oils and aromatherapy. Read up about oils and CONSULT WITH YOUR VET before you do anything.
I've never known the doggie pheromone sprays to work.

I'd be interested in hearing some 'tried, tested and true' suggestion, too!
i have a two-in-one solution:

mix 2 tbsps white vinegar with 4 cups of water, the juice of 1 lemon, and 1 tsp baking soda. use this to clean up where your dog has an accident. the vinegar will kill the germs and the lemon will hide the vinegar's scent. it's biodegradable and nontoxic, so if your dog sniffs at it or gets it on his or her nose it won't hurt them, but they don't like the smell of lemon or vinegar so they'll stay away from the spot.
Mine tend to shy away from orange scent.
