What essential oil can i use on my perineum to in crease elasticity?

When i had my first baby 6 years ago my then midwife recommended an essential oil that improves elasticity of the perinium (area between vagina and anus), which i used daily and therefore had no tearing or stiches during labour. I am now pregnant again and wish to use the oil but cant remember what it is any ideas????What essential oil can i use on my perineum to in crease elasticity?
Sorry, don't know, but would love to! Hope someone remembers!!!What essential oil can i use on my perineum to in crease elasticity?
Okay, why in the world was this completely non-helpful, non-answer chosen by voters when the right answer wasn't?

I think someone voted for herself ;) Report Abuse

I've never heard much about using an actual essential oil, but vitamin E oil is what is most often recommended. Vitamin E is excellent for healing and strengthening skin. I did a little internet search and also found a site that recommends rose oil and jojoba.
You can use regular cooking oil - vegetable, sunflower or olive.

All oils basically do the same job. I used olive oil, and had no stitches or tearing when I gave birth! Although not having an epidural helped too!
rose maroc oil in sweet almond carrier. you have to make sure its not just rose fragranced oil - we're talking about the real thing. You can usually tell by the price whether it is genuine or not. Rather pay a bit more and do it properly - beats the hell out of being cut up down there!

good luck!
I thought I heard almond oil does it, but I've never had a baby and never had to use it!
