Can baby oil be used with an essential oil in an oil diffuser?

Baby oil is scented, so it would interfere with your Lavender.

You could use mineral oil, which is just like baby oil, but without the scent. You can buy mineral oil at most drug stores. Can baby oil be used with an essential oil in an oil diffuser?
What kind of diffuser is it? Most of them use water (best to go with distilled, but tap also works). If you think it needs a carrier oil, I'd go with cooking (vegetable) oil over baby/mineral (petroleum by-product) oil. To me, it just seems wrong to use a mineral oil with essential oils. Petroleum and plant oils just don't mix, in my mind. In a pinch, you could use any oil, but out of the two choices, I'd definitely go with the vegetable oil. If it's good enough to eat, then it's good enough to put on your skin or use in your diffuser.
